Both at the casting side of the process for 3D shape control or positioning of the crucible, solutions have been implemented. Solutions have also been developed for the inspection of castings or for post-processing of the castings.
Pourcup for Casting
A Dutch manufacturer of casting systems has designed an automatic filling system for a very large foundry in China. The casting cavities are detected using a TOF system with Sick scanners and Vision technology. The images are 32 meters long and 2 meters wide. The entire hardware and software development took place in the Netherlands. The system was installed in China by a Dutch installation company, and the software was optimized by SAC Netherlands in the Netherlands.
